FCP 5 capturing audio only…. WO’T CAPTURE VIDEO
In the last 2 days FCP has quit seeing the video stream from my DV deck. It will capture the audio, and I can control the deck, but FCP won’t see the video stream. I Movie will see and capture everything correctly, but FCP 5 won’t. I have tried the following. —
replacing cables, replacing decks, restarting the software, restarting the machine, trashing prefs, swapping users… swapping machines fixed the problem, and so did using I Movie — those two methods confirmed there is a problem w/ FCP software.
nothing fixes the problem… HELP ME!!!! I need to capture these tapes.

The best way I can think of is to look in the help menu or maybe call apple, might be an issue with your computer or software

By any chance have you unchecked “Video” in the “Clip Setting” window of the “Log and Capture”.If so, you will only record Audio.
