FCP 5 Capture and NTSC issues
Hi,
I get the no external deck found message. But I can control the deck (VTR OK), but I cannot see the picture in the Captuure window (PREVIEW DISABLED). It will let me mark my ins and outs, but won’t batch capture. iMovie HD works fine, thus telling me that the computerr is seeing the deck. I also can’t tun on ALL FRAMES. I can’t see the tiimeline on the NTSC monitor.
Please help!

Try the Refresh Video Devices command.

Obvisiously, this is a bug in the software because I see this also. I did notice that your Capture Settings and your Easy Setups MUST match exactly. That’s an observation that I found today.
