    My Configuration:

    Dual G5 2.Ghz
    2 GB ram
    Xserve raid 2.5 TB
    Decklink HD
    Striped raid system disk
    Mac os x 10.4.1 and Decklink 5.04b

    After recent system upgrade on new OS X 10.4.1 and clean installation of Final Cut Studio 5, with all system updates and quick time 7, Final Cut is very unstable. The program crashes all the time after playback from timeline. There are old Final Cut Pro Document folders on xserve raid

    My money would be on quicktime 7 being the culprit. Bad news is that the 6.5.2 reversioner on the Apple website doesn’t really work.

    I had to archive & instal to fix the problem.
