  FCP 5 and AJA IO flickering external Monitor

  Hi there,

  I have recently encountered a problem with a G5 connected to a AJA IO running FCP5. (I don’t remember any of the other specs sorry, although I know it wasn’t running tiger.)

  Anyway when playing out to an external monitor the footage is jumping, much like the field order is wrong, changing the field order seems to make no difference, de-interlacing the footage makes it better, but not 100%.

  Also there is a problem where the image flashes and there is an audible pop, it is intermitant problem.

  I’m told it was working fine in FCP 4.x, so it seems that it might be FCP 5 problem, we have updated the IO firmware and drivers with no improvement to the video. I have read that there may be some problems with 10.3.9 so I’ll check to see it that is being used.

  Has anybody else expereienced these problems, and can any solutions be offered.
