FCP 5 and a Canon GL1: missing scripts
Ok, I know this is a rather “un-rad” topic, but I can’t find the answer anywhere. Yes, I used the search function a lot before I posted 😉
I recently bought an old copy of Final Cut Pro 5 off a friend when he went with another (cough* ppro *cough) software solution. I had grand plans of using it to play with some footage from a little Canon GL1 (I know, please keep the laughter to a minimum). Long story short, it can’t recognize the camera, therefore it can’t capture anything.
Apple says that I need the ‘CMP Override’ and ‘DV Tuner 2’ scripts to get them to play nicely. They said to look in the disc’s Extras folder, but they’re not there at all. I only see files for the DVX 100, and a few other random files/folders.
I’m starting to wonder that, since the camera is pretty old, they just don’t include the scripts for it anymore. I can’t find them on Apple’s site, either.
Does anyone know where I can get these scripts?
