FCP 4.5 open project/file lag time?
Hi there
my friend and I have been working on a doc together and I’m notceing a HUGE difference in the time it takes to open the project and to import XMLs. I’m running FCP 4.5 and he’s on 5.0 (hence the XML import)
our comp’s specs are realtively similar – I’m running a G5 power PC dual 1.8, with 1.5 gb of ram – but it honestly takes around 10 minutes to import an XML file of just sequences – whereas on my friends comp it takes closer to 1 minute…

i was wondering if it was slwo because of FCP 4.5 or if it’s just the norm with XML
