    fcp 4.5 not recognizing firewire device after installing tiger

    Please help. I did all of the plugging and unplugging and restarting that is recommended. The computer recognizes the camcorder but fcp does not. It is the same camcorder and firewire cable, in good condition, that I was using before. I’m using a g5 with 1 gig of ram.

    Yes, I noticed that after writing my post, and deleting the quicktime receipts and reinstalling quicktime did the trick.. Thanks

    Dear Christopher,

    I am experiencing the same problem as you: no more recognising of firewire device by my 4.5. I tired to trash the receipt packages but no sucess. You said you re ibstalled QT: which version??? Is all well now: I am panicking: please help out.
