Hmmm….. Here a question once again. In the other topic I asked about how to reinstall FCP 4.5.
Actually I installed FCP 5 because all of a sudden my configuration doesn’t recognize my camera (a sony VX2000) anymore.
After installing 4.5 once again, the problem still exists, so it’s not the program I guess. Strange thing: in my log & capture I can still control my cam but I have no image! FCP says that the firewire pal device is missing…
I’ve been working with FCP since version 1.2 and I’ve never had any trouble with this… I thought FCP 4.5 has always been compatible with my camera. It used to work prefect. That’s also the info apple gives on their site.
Does anybody have any idea or the same experience? Could it simply be my firewire cable or is it FCP related? I can’t figure it out here : (

    Some system specifications:
I’m working on an old G4 (dual 450 mhz) with FCP 4.5 and a Sony VX2000

    Thanks once again!

It’s probbly Quicktime related. If you’re using Quicktime 7 try this:

If you’re back using FCP 4.5 then you should really be using Quicktime 6.5.2 with it as they’re more compatible.
