I have shot on sony HD camera, the footage was shot 25p, I have brought the footage in on log and capture on FCP v5, on playback on FCP there has been lost frames, quality etc. I presume as the FCP is reading the info as interlaced 50i, How do I change the playback (and thereafter on final delivery to DVD) from already 25p footage to 25p on my FCP?

Please simple advice as I am a general idiot. Now the camera has gone back to the hire company so all I have is the footage in my sequence.

    Rich.

What format did you shoot, and what format did you digitise?

Reading 25p as 50i doesn’t really result in missing frames…

I shot 1080i 25p HD, as I could not see video when log and capture all i could do was select capture now using the sony VU viewfinder, i could control the camera from FCP but no pic, i have managed to edit using but lots of jitter then using compressor i managed to deliver the footage at 25p, now as saved runs perfectly in sync and not jitter, however still on edit with FCP there is the constant jitter which makes the edit tough, how do I make my edit run at 25p.

    Thanks
