FCP 2 frame Transition Glitch
I’ve recently been utilizing canon dslr’s and transcoding h264 footage into prores 422 for my work in event videography.
This week, I’ve been having an issue whereby fcp repeats the last two frames of each transition, AFTER the transition. Here’s an example clip I have posted:

I had initially thought it was isolated to the nattress brand transition (hence the title of the clip) but later realized that it was happening for all video transitions.
MBP 2.2 intel core 2 duo 4gb ram. Osx 10.5.6 FCP 6.x graid 6tb
Where did this come from?!

First trash your render files and re-render.

I’m still experiencing this issue. Doesn’t seem to show up until I’m exporting/compressing. Perhaps just a heat issue with my computer?
I’ve tried changing the sequence render settings from 10 bit yuv to RGB only, no help. I’ve trashed render files and re-rendered, and the problem is gone once the render files are trashed, but re-appears upon completion of the new render.

I’ve read other’s similar posts describing the same issue. The only headway I’ve made with it, is that some editors have been able to resolve the issue by extending/shortening their transitions by 1 frame. Apparently there is some issue with the codec or frame-rate that is causing this problem. That solution however, is not working for me this time.
