Hi, I searched the forums and can’t find a straight answer to this.

If I export from an 8-bit timeline (DVCPro HD) using Export to QT, with custom settings of 10-bit uncompressed export, and render settings set to render in 10-bit YUV, will I get a true 10-bit render of effects such as color correction, including MB Looks? Or is FCP rendering to 8-bit compressed DVCPro HD, then making the file? Thanks- Jerome

You render with the codec that you have set in your sequence. If you want render and output in 10b your need
    – Set your time-line 10b.
    – If your footage is not 10b, you must set “Render all in high precision YUV”.
