I was told by a post manager that I can download a Kona codec to do 10 bit uncompressed 4:2:2 Quicktime export on my mac even though I don’t have a Kona card. Is there a big difference quality-wise compared to FCP’s built-in 10 bit export? My original footage is 24p DV. I looked on the website and found the “AJA Macintosh QuickTime Codec v4.0” and was wondering if anyone has experience with this? I don’t want to screw around too much with my stock FCP system unless there’s a big difference. Any info much appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Alexander

    Just use Apple’s 10Bit codec.
