  FCE 4.0 to FCP 5 transfer

  Hi folks,

  love this forum! Not a real editor, so get most of my learnin’ here.

  I’ve sent a FCExpress 4.0 project to a friend who has FCP 5 to grade etc… He says he can’t open the project file. He can import all the clips and start a new project, but time is of the essence, and we’d like to avoid doing that if possible i.e. we’d like to open the project & timeline as saved, rather having to ‘redit’.

  Any suggestions? I’ll take the bad news with aplomb if that’s all there is.
