FCC regulations
Posted by Jacob Picorale on May 29, 2007 at 7:48 pmI am wondering if anyone can lead me to a list of language to be censored in order to meet FCC regulations for a PG-13 film.

FCC has nothing to do with film ratings, that’s the MPAA.
Also, as far as the curse words, is this for broadcast or cable? Check with the network for what is and is not allowed. Comedy Central for example will show any film un-cut most Saturdays at 1am no matter the language used.
Each cable network has their own standards depending a lot on the daypart the film will be shown in.

May 29, 2007 at 10:47 pmIts actually for a dvd I’m putting out. I’m giving it away for promotion of my band and it contains a bunch of crazy footage & obscene language. Since I’m giving it away in public, I can’t really control whose hands it gets into. I’m just trying to use the law as shield so parents can’t sue me or shut down my record company. I am going to sell the x-rated version.
