I just want to put some DV clips (Lower-first) in a 8b Unc sequence (Upper-first in PAL land) and set the speed to 50% with Frame Blending. When i render I get the wrong field order.
The only way to get it done is to nest the clip (with the Shift Fields filter set by F) and then apply the speed change.
The problem disappear when i uncheck the Frame blending option.
I’m watching the movie in an interlaced monitor.
Anybody is having a similar issue?

I noticed the same problem on 6.0.1 . I had DV files in a 10 bit Uncompressed SD timeline and the 50 & 75% speeds looked terrible. I dropped the shots back into a DV timeline, made a QT file of the slo mos and re-imported into the uncompressed where it applied a shift fields. However the slo mos looked correct – smooth and not stuttering.

    Hi Michael,
    Thanks for your answer.
Yes the slow-motion works, and the field shift works. But together they are making a big mess with the field-blending. I used Twixtor with the shift-fields, and OK.
I had the same problem with FC5.4 in a G5. It seems he problem remains in my MBP with FC6.0.2.
Have you tried if is happensto you with the version you are using?
    Thanks,
    Rafael

I’m experiencing the same problem. HDV footage in an SD timeline (720×480 ProRes), slow motion with frame blend stutters. I tried with and without field shift and have the same problem. When I step through the rendered footage one frame at a time it looks like the footage is skipping back a frame every few frames.

If I render slomo in an HDV timeline–either HDV or ProRes–I don’t have the problem.

I’ve tried trashing prefs and repairing permissions with no luck.

My footage was shot on a Sony V1U at 24P (standard, not Advanced)

It seems like a bug looking at the footage frame by frame.

Can anyone else confirm or deny the same problem?

    Thanks,

    David

    Hi David,
Yes, I think is a proble with the Frame blending. If I uncheck it, It renders OK. With the frame blending on, makes a big mess. I can see it in my monitor and I have check it with Shake too.
