    FC5 G5 We are having dropped frames when are editing on the time line. We have a 500G external harddrive. 1g of ram have working on larger projects recently. We were doing some copy and pasting on the timeline from one seq. to another and that is when we cant get pasted to movie clips when the dropped frames during playback pops up????

    Any help out there?

    Dropped frames are almost always due to your drives. Either they are not fast enough or too full to pull the data off.

    You mention a 500G external drive. Give us more info. Is it a single 500G drive, Multiple raid, FW, SATA etc. And what codec’s are you using?

    Did you try Sequence>Render All> Both? Sometimes it helps…
