FC Project Takes Forever to open
Hello,
I’m working on a documentary project that references thousands of files on a g-tech 2tb drive. When the drive is connected to the computer( Mac book pro 2.5ghz, 4gb ram, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M) it seems to slow down the launch of any project to five minutes or more. I have checked the disc with disc utility and all the files are good. I have copied all the media to a new g-tech drive and the same thing happens on the new drive.
All the project files I’m creating are AAF files imported via automatic duck. The projects references many photos and when I connect the offline media the jpgs have a default time of ten hours. Can this be part of my problem? Why are they ten hours? When I import a jpg directly into a project I get a ten second default time.
Any ideas?
