You could try using the limiter in the audio effects menu to crush the dynamic range of the vo. Also use the EQ to give it that genuine AM sound.

…then just use the limiter (plus a little compression won’t go amiss) to get the effect

It’s nearly impossible to make an average voice track sound like that. It’s 80% the quality of the original voice, and about 20% the equipment.
