Fastest way to propagate shape parameters?

May 26, 2020 at 5:13 pmFolks I am using a shape for a drop shadow effect. I need to use this new shape to replace an old one. Is there a way to propagate the shape parameters to the old shape where the edits are?
I am trying to avoid having to copy/paste the new shape to every place where my old shape was on the timeline, match durations, and re-add the dissolves. The old ones are already placed, have their set durations and dissolves. Is there another method? I just want to update them with new shape parameters.

May 26, 2020 at 8:01 pmyou could re-name the new shape the same as the old shape. then delete the old shape. premiere will want to look for the deleted shape. you point premiere to the new shape with the old name. whew.!

May 26, 2020 at 8:05 pmThese shapes were created inside PPro. The old and new version are both called “Graphic” They’re not items I can “reveal in project” on. I can rename them, but since they’re not items in the project and exist only on the timeline, how would this work?
Thanks.
