  Fastest way to export as usable video?

  What is the fastest way to export video from Final Cut Express 4 with final cut’s “quicktime conversion”? Just exporting the movie results in apple’s proprietary “apple intermediate codec” which can’t be used in anything else other than the final cut on that particular mac.

  I work with both HD 1080i and NTSC.

  Up to now, I’ve been exporting 1080i as “HDV1080i” and NTSC as “DV/DVCPRO – NTSC”. They both take about double the time of the actual length of the footage.
