    Fastest way to encode DVD to prores on OSX.

    Hi,

    I’m have to encode a lot of found footage that comes from DVD’s and I have to get everything into Prores.

    Right now I’m using MpegStreamclip but it’s not multi threaded. Adobe Meda Encoder doesn’t support DVD media as a source and so does Apple Compressor 4.

    Does anyone know of a workflow that has support for my 12 core machine?

    I’m on OSX but can do windows as well should it be needed.

    You can copy the .vob files from DVD to hard drive, import into Premiere, put clips on timeline and Export. Note there is no ProRes export on PC, will need the Mac for that.
