  • Fastest method for Compressing video from FCP to DVD Studio Pro

I’m trying to beat the clock on this one. I need to bring video from FCP into DVD Studio pro and waste the least amount of time as possible doing so. So far I have exported a 1 hour 48 min video using compressor. The compression time is saying over 5 hours to complete.
Is there another way to get the video from FCP to DVD Studio pro and save myself the 5 hours?

    Thanks

    Rory

OF course a lot depends on your system and amount of RAM.

But the fastest method is bringing in a self contained QT file that is exported out of FCP as “Current settings” into Compressor and use a CBR m2v encode. on my system (8-core) it would be less than an hour for the encode.
