Curious on what would generally be faster encoding H264 at the same settings, Compressor or Episode Pro. We will be on a motorcycle for three months filming, and space is a premium. Otherwise I would probably look at the Matrox MXO2 Mini. We will be upping freebie H264 videos while underway to our fanbase on the web. Just curious what will encode the quickest, using a MacBookPro

    Cheers

Read the sticky after here’s some more information.

I’m shooting with a Canon 5D Mk2, but will encode to Apple ProRes 422 for editing. Then I will use the self contained reference file to export to H264 on whichever program I can figure will be the fastest. The Telestream demo only allows 30seconds, so its really hard to judge.

I will be running a MacBookPro with Snow leopard. We have a 13″ 2.26 and a15″2.8 , both intels. Would prefer the 2.8 but space is a consideration.

Hope that helps shed a little more light!
