    Good morning video techs. Fast motion in rugby league footage I shoot in HD 50p on my Sony NEX-VG20 and render in Vegas Pro 10. is blurred unless I manually set the ‘Undersample Rate’ for each segment on the timeline to 0.500 (25fps) why does this happen? I can view the AVCHD/Project file in Vegas Pro 10, no blurring at all, it only blurs when rendered, I’m confused.

    Franhk,

    Your project and source framerates do not match. If you shoot in 50i and render in 30p some detail has to be made up. That is why you have to change the Undersample Rate. I would look into my project properties first, and then select a render template that (=) matches.
