  • FAQ or Stickies?

Posted by Sean Lander on June 2, 2005 at 10:08 pm

When scrolling through the posts here, it’s amazing how often you see the same questions over and over again.
*Mp3 audio sounds bad. *Where did my canvas go? *Why do I have to render everything? Real basic stuff.
Not that there is anything wrong with that. We all had to learn sometime. (Though some people obviously don’t read
or worse, don’t have a manual.)
Just wondering if a FAQ or making answers to the most commonly asked questions into stickies might be the go?

Wasn’t to sure where to post this. Couldn’t see a cow suggestions area.
Hope it’s not out of line.

Indeed, “How about an FAQ section?” is now becoming an FAQ!

I suggested a top ten list for each forum. I think Ron & Kathlyn are planning something already.

A FAQ section is also good to refer too. Probably you keep getting the same questions now and than. It would also be a good place to refer too in such cases.

(And they can be updated, I have fluently playing video now when my canvas dimension is smaller than the video it is playing.)

And you expect these same people to read the FAQ? Sean, your naivet

Over on the Avid-l there’s a one word response for these FAQs. It’s: RTFM
