I know Adobe Premiere takes a lot of advantage of the CUDA cores in NVIDIA’s GPUs, and I am contemplating upgrading from the Radeon 5870 to the GTX 570 and was hoping someone could tell me what the difference is in fan noise – especially when it’s not being taxed. The 5870 is dead quiet during that time, and I was hoping the GTX 570 is the same.

I don’t really notice a difference. I used to have a 5770 and switched over to the GTX570. Makes a huge difference in Premiere for speed. Noise level seems fairly quiet.
I got mine on EBay from MacVidCards. It’s the 1.28 GB model.

    Thank you, Greg.

I really appreciate it. That was the last bit of information I needed before buying one.
