Falling Objects?
Hi Gang!
Curious to know how would you approach creating an array of falling objects from the sky? The objects are mainly photoshop psd layer objects.
To be more specific, I would like to have different fruits falling down.Thought of having the array of fruits spread out on different xyz points, and have a camera travelling from down up on a y axis. Good idea? Are there simpler ways?

If you just want the objects to be moving downward and don’t need them to bounce or anything, I’d put them all in random places (and add a time*x expression on their rotation) and then parent them all to a null and animate the null moving down.

As an alternate to Michael’s approach, I’d use a particle system with custom particles. You could use Particular, with a Sprite particle type, to set up a nice simulation.

I love the particle idea too. Bonus to it: you can have the rotation set up with some randomness automatically.
