I’ve been searching the forums for an expression that mimics the slight rebound/bounce of a hard object.
The comp I’m trying to put together is type falling from behind the camera (z position) then hitting the “floor” and rebounding a little before settling. Like if you dropped a rigid object from above. It wouldn’t bounce like a ball, but it would have a bit of a rebound and tilting before settling.

This is my first post on the forums. It’s been really helpful, so I thought I’d toss this out there to the crowd.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

    Cheers,
    Talin

I think I’d start with Dan’s Bounce expression on this page, just change the initial velocities and the elasticity:

Also, make it 3D, add a camera, and move the camera so the text comes from behind like you want. The Camera Orbit tool will move it like you want, also rotate the texts Y rotation so it faces the camera or turn on Auto Orient.

Thanks for the response yikes. I’ll give that a shot and let you know how it worked out.

    Cheers,
