March 5, 2007 at 6:44 pmOK, this works pretty good.
Duplicate you pond layer.
Now add a Solid White layer (must be white).
With the Elliptical Mask Toll (O), draw you mask at it’s biggest. Feather the mask to taste (large feather here). Set keyframes for Mask Shape and Mask Feather. You should now have a white fuzzy edged circle on black.
Down the timeline, double click the mask and resize (it’s like PhotoShop Transform) and set the feather to smaller. OK precomp the layer (move all attributes) and turn the eyeball off.On the Pond layer below add Distort>Blobbyize
Blob Layer: 1. White Solid Comp 1
Softness: Decrease a bit
Light: Crank it up
Tweak to tasteSo, three layers
1. Precomp white solid with animated mask
2.Pond
3.Pond
