  Failed: 3x crash HOST – keeps occurring on MPEG2 Encodes

  I am regularly getting this error on MPEG2 / DVD encodes. I am managing to eventually find workarounds, but it is becoming a bit of a headache as sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. So far I have narrowed things that cause problems down (in my case) to the following:

  DV-PAL originated material
  Using 6 or more instances in Qmaster
  Adaptive Details being checked

  I never have this problem on my MacBook Pro and also on my trusty old G5 2Ghz. Perhaps I should just use these other methods as they work ….. but with an 8 core Mac Pro, I shouldn’t be having these problems?

  Can anyone shed any light on this issue that seems to only be affecting my MacPro?
