10 years ago I knew my way around this program. Alot has changed!

Can someone help me figure out how to fade still images in and out please?

Thanks! This calf is still wet behind the ears.

I have not moved on to PPro2 yet, but in 1.5 there are two ways to do this. One is to enable the opacity handles for your video. Then set two keyframes for each fade in/fade out. To fade in you want one keyframe at the very beginning of the still and the second at the point where you want the still fully faded in (or technically 100% opacity). Grab the keyframe at the inpoint of your still and drag it down to the bottom of your frame making it 0% opacity, or virtually invisible. Do the same at the end of the still to fade it out.

Or, a more simple way is to place a Cross Fade effect at the beginning and the end of your still, with empty timeline before and after the still. This will also create a fade in from black and a fade out to black.
