  • Fading Opacity on a mask layer problem

I’ve got a solid with an animated subtract mask layer. I did this in order to animate my alpha channel. the only problem is. I need the alpha portion only to fade up, so anything put in it’s place afterward will fade up. However when I animate the opacity of the mask layer it doesn’t just take the mask away, it takes the whole layer away, revealing whatever may be placed behind it. I’m stumped. Any idea how to pull this off?

figured it out. Leave the opacity alone and just fade down from the previous clip, so the whole thing fades together. Sorry for wasting anyones time, Thanks!
