Fading in and out on an audio track in Premiere Pro 2.0 for Windows
Can anyone explain how this is done? I’ve read and reread the manual, but still can’t quite determine how for example, I would make an audio track fade out. I have the track in my Timeline, and can control the volume, but can only seem to set the volume for the entire length of the track, whereas I’d like to fade it down right before my movie clip starts. Any help appreciated and thank you.

This is very simple to do:
Just click the clip you want to adjust, then open the Effects control panel (Shift + 5 on Windows), expand the Volume fx tab, next to the level section there’s a timewatch button, make sure it’s pressed now move the to the time when you want to control the volume and set it to your desire, for example for a fade in, you select time 0:00 and put the Level to -oo, then select time 2:00 and put the volume Level to 0db again, play it, you should hear how the volume ramps up between those time marks, 0 and 2 seconds.
