I’m working on a series of templates for social media, creating in AE for use in Premiere. Essential Graphics is working really well, but I’ve run into an issue with one of my templates.

Essentially I would like to have two lines of text appear word by word. Currently just using the Fade Up Words preset.

Problem is that the text is split across two text layers (has to be this way for the rest of the animation to function properly), so if the word count changes on either layer later on, the timing of the animation will be off.

Is there a way to link these two layers with expressions so that the second layer doesn’t start its animation until the animation has concluded on the first line? It’s very important that this timing changes dynamically with varying numbers of words on each line.

I hope that makes sense, thanks for taking the time!
