Might be a newbie question, however i am trying to use the keyframe fade to black transition from the clip. I’m using an external monitor and it’s not giving me a clean fade to black. More so it’s giving me poor resolution on the fade. What can i do to improve the fade to black?

    Thanks.

does this need to be a keyframed effect or can you just right click on the cut point and use the standard cross dissolve to a slug or empty space? Why make things more complex when they don’t need to be?

Control click the end of the clip and choose ‘add cross disolve’ then render the clip and you are done. if you control click the fade on the timeline you can alter the speed of the transition. Simple
