    Hey everybody,

I am working on a video where I want to fade four people, who will be standing like the attached logo, into the logo, as a ending scene. Essentially, it would transition from a full shot of them standing somewhere to the logo on some background, ideally in a pretty smooth way. Is there a specific effect for this, or name for what this is to find a tutorial?

Hi Michael. I suspect what you mean might be “morphing” – one shape becoming another over time? If so there are a few tutorials around (and programs for that matter).

If the people are standing in the right way, you might only have to crossfade.

Alternatively, you could do a series of quick cuts to it in your editor instead of doing a smooth transition. Like, a glitch, cutting back and forth between the two.

If you really want a smooth transition, you’ll want to follow ye olde morphing tutorial with Chris Zwar and make each person morph into their shape (and/or each shape morph from the person shape into their shape).
