Hi, I have scoured the internet, does anyone know how to achieve that effect where a certain part of the shot says in place? For example a person running with their head bobbing up and down but you stabilize just the head? I think the effect is called “face zoom” on some platforms. Thanks! (of corse I can keyframe, I’m looking for a fast solution, if there is one!)

The effect is done by stabilizing a clip with the focus of stabilization on the face. Mocha is the best stabilizer I know of for this. You might get lucky with Warp Stabilizer in PPro – try using “No Motion” and stabilize on “Position” or “Position and Rotation” – but your best bet is Mocha.

Here’s a Mocha Stabilization tutorial, the effect you want is towards the end of the lesson.

You can use the Mocha AE that is bundled with Adobe After Effects for this.

Just invert the tracking to stabilize.
