Ok, I’ve got everything moving like a piece of fabric in the wind, the only thing missing is the shadow folds moving along too.

Gosh I should know how to do this but I haven’t used AE in a long time and as you know if you don’t use it you lose it.

Any tips on making realistic shadows/folds move along with the displacement animation?

    Thanks

You could duplicate the precomped fractal noise (or whatever you’re using for your displacement map) and use it to add shadow by blending with the layer using opacity and/or one of the blending modes.

    Very cool Brian,

    I’ll try that, thanks!
