F900 and SRW-1
I’ve got an F900 with an SRW-1 and I’d like to record in 50p and slow it down to 25p for playback.
Now the Select FPS function you get with the HKSR-102 card is only compatible with the F23, so would I even need the HKSR-102 card? The only other functions the F900 seems to support are slow shutter and interval frame. Could I achieve slow motion with the interval frame function or is that simply for time lapse and stop motion?
If I set the F900 to shoot at 25psf and the SRW-1 to record at 50psf how would that work out? -

Well that would be Sony.
Think I’ll just have to get a hold of something like an HDC-1500 as it can output 50p. I just thought someone might have used the SRW-1 with the interval frame function and knew what it could do. -

I was thinking more of your dealer than the manufacturer. I buy from BandPro and Michael bravin & Jeff Cree have ALL of the answers. Fletcher’s is the same. If you somehow bought straight from Sony than I guess you won’t have that front line of support. That’s why we buy from dealers.

I work for Sony; I will try to explain what the capabilities are. The F900 does not operate at 50P or 60P. As you stated, an HDC-1500 operating at 50P or 60P can feed an SRW-1. If the SRW-1 is equipped with the optional SRBK102 board, it is possible to invoke the Interval Recording mode for Over/Under cranking effects (at selectable interval frame rates). In addition, the newest SRW-1 firmware enables accelerating, decelerating and linear speed ramps. All of these features are part of something called SR Motion. The F23 provides additional functionality, including Select fps from 1 ~ 60 fps selectable in single frame increments. Best of all, SR Motion effects can be reviewed on the field without any special equipment.

Is that the same as the HKSR102 board? I was told that it would enable the SRW-1 to ‘overcrank’ at 60fps to give the slowed down look at 24 or 30P (when using the 1500 camera.)
In this mode is the 1500 set at 24 or 30 while the deck can run on variable? Or is it set at 60?
