F3 playback issues with Clip Browser
I am having an issue with F3 footage in the clip browser (V2.6). Anyone had this issue or is the software not compatible?
All my EX3 footage plays and looks normal in clip browser. All of my F3 footage appears in the preview window as black boxes with smaller “X” marks in the lower corner.
So far the footage works outside of clip browser but will not playback or give file info.
Any help/thoughts?

Can you try XDCAM Browser? I believe this is because of new metadata that is added to the files after 1.20 firmware F3 is installed but we are still investigating whether this is the case. XDCAM Browser (the replacement for CB, which is discontinued) should be able to play and manage these clips without issue. https://www.sony.com/xdcam-downloads

IF you are shooting with a Sony PMW-F3 and you have the newest version of the firmware (version 1.2) and you use a picture profile Your old clip browser will likely not work.
You need to update the Sony XDcam Browser. Version 2.0 from Sony’s Microsite.

None of this affects the actual recording or files disks etc, just that the clip browser will no longer play the files back.
