    Hi there,
Im animating a car along a spline using the position value in the align to spline tag.
Im tiring to ease the start movement to simulate a cars natural starting behavior.
The problem is that in the f-curves editor, my curve is totally flat.
All key frames are on the same level.
    What am I missing here?????

Well, if the line is horizontal (flat) you might have given the Start- and End-Position the same values…?
(key-frame Start 0%, End 100% or vice versa)

Either select the key-frame in the Timeline-bar and in the Attributes under Key Properties change the Interpolation to Spline, or uncheck Auto Tangents and type in your desired values, or open the Timeline window, select Align to Spline, select the F-Curve-Symbol, select one of the key-frames, and adjust the handles to your liking, or if you’re still in Linear mode, right-click the key-frame and choose Spline…

    Regards
    Nolan

Thanks for the input. All good ideas!
Embarrassingly, my problem was the zoom level in the f-curves window.
It seems to change depending on what your viewing, some times its zoomed way out, making the f-curve look flat. I figured it out by selecting my parameter and going to view/frame selected.
Not proud of that, but I thought it would be good to follow up on the post in case another “new user” had the same problem.
    Thanks again
    Bruce
