I want the text to start flat and extrude letter by letter, ideally parametrically and controlled by a plain effector.

I tried using lofts, extrudes, motext, but nothing was giving me what I want.

Any thoughts would be highly appreciated!!

and extrude or a MoText should work with a plain effector.

Why can’t you just use a plain effector set to scale the letters? It’s the same thing right?

Use the plain effector as the child of a plain , plain effector》falloff》source , put your text in the source link。Do Something to plaineffector x/y/z and falloff sample attributes 。Smooth deformer can be used as well。
