    Hi all!

Does anyone know if it is possible to extrude a shape along a path in after effects or if there is a plugin that can do this?

    Thanx

3D Invigorator by Zaxworks or maybe you could create a shape in a 3D layer and then stack hundreds of duplicate layers together to build up a 3D form – Might look a bit odd though.

Zaxwerks is the best solution. The idea of stacking 3D objects could also work, but the sheer number of layers would slow things down. Along those same lines, Useful Things has some functions that can be used to make rudimentary 3D primitives out of multiple solid layers.

Illustrator CS and CS2 have a 3D extrude function. If you just need the shape, that could work. If you want it to rotate, you could make multiple views in Illustrator and create a sequence.
