Extracting timecode to a text file or xml (Premiere CS4)
Hi all. I’m working on a series of projects that require me to pull the timecode from certain points in a clip while I’m editing said clip. These pulled timecode will eventually be put into an xml file for captioning purposes in flash. I was wondering if anyone would know of an easy way to pull the timecode of the pointer’s location to an xml file (or text/excel sheet). If not the pointer location, maybe pull marker locations into an xml file (or text/excel).

Did you ever get anywhere with this? We’re trying to do something similar, just extracting timecode from source footage into xml files and have hit a bit of a brick wall now.

Hi Sam, I finally did find a solution using another users post, using AutoHotKey. Found here.

I modified the code a bit to spit out the xml I needed. If you like, get me your e-mail address and I’ll send the AutoHotKey script I use to you. (Apparently I can’t post it on the forum because it strips the xml tags out.)
