    Hey everyone,

Im have to produce some clips from films that we have made, to put onto a show reel.

Trouble is, the only source we have here in the office is the master DVDs.

Could anyone advise me on the best software / method to take footage from DVD ie. .vob files and convert them into a format so that I can re-author a ‘compilation’ DVD of clips.

Hope that makes sense! Any advice would be very very much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Matt

    Try Handbrake: https://handbrake.fr/
I’ve personally had better luck with the Mac version, but the PC one CAN produce editable AVIs, it just takes a lot of trial and error.

I went to handbreak but it cannot read a VOB file that the DVD was made. Any suggestions? We burned a show from a stand alone DVD recorder which puts out VOB files. I need this footage in FCP to re-edit.
