Can someone point me to a posting or tutorial on how to extract a person from a frame of video?

What I want to do is extract a still frame of a guy sitting between two arguing women, then in Final Cut Pro put him back in place over the original frame, then slowly increase the scale size so that it looks like he’s floating away or separating from the two arguing women.

Thank you. You AE folks are amazing!

Andrew Kramer has a tutorial that sort of addresses what you want to do.

    Tom:

Thank you SOOOO much for that. That’s just what I needed.

Now I just need to figure out how to slow it down and scale it up!

I owe you a cold one.

For slowing down, I believe Aharon and Andrew have tutorials on Time Remapping. And there’s a scale parameter for each layer.
