Extract frames from 1000fps footage recorded at 1fps
I need to extract individual frames from high-speed video footage. It was recorded at 1000fps and captured at 1fps. In other words, I have 30 duplicate frames of each original frame, and would like to extract 1 copy of each frame. What’s the best and/or fastest way to do that? Also, my customer wants stills of each frame; should I export them as a movie jpg or tiff sequence and deinterlace them in Photoshop for the best quality? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you speed up the footage to 3000 %, you should keep every 30th frame.
Don’t add frameblending.
Export to a tiff sequence for instance, and you’ll end up an image file for each frame.
Is the material interlaced?

Yes, they are interlaced. Should I deinterlace the tiff/jpg files in Photoshop?

You could also de-interlace in After Effects, by separating the fields in the Footage Interpretation Window (specify upper or lower field first, depending on the field order).
