    Hi Creative Cows,

    Quick question…

For some reason, my playhead in the timeline has a tiny, little shadow that is a couple of seconds ahead of it and whenever I try to mark an in and an out it marks it a couple of seconds ahead of the playhead where that little shadow stops.

As you can predict, this can be very frustrating and annoying when you want to mark in/out EXACTLY where the playhead is.

Might have I accidentally pressed a hotkey for this to have happened? Any ideas on how I can change it back?

Thanks everyone! I’m running FCP 6.0.6

    Thanks,
    Chris Guevarra

    Correction:

It’s only when I mark an OUT point that I get marked 1 frame ahead the playhead.

When I mark IN or add markers, it’s on point. It’s just when I mark an OUT when this happens.

    Thanks,

It’s the way FCP works. The out point includes the frame you are looking at. If you go to the end of clip (down arrow), you then have to back up a frame to NOT include the first frame of the next clip.

Zoom way in to the timeline and mark an out and you will see what I mean.
