Actually i think this can be easily solve.

You need to adjust the RS422 control, what is happening is that the video are cutting in too early, 1 frame too early infact and your FCP has not even start to play the video.

CMD-OPT-Q at FCP and select “Device Control Presets”, create a new Preset and adjust it’s “Playback Offset” until you get frame accuracy.

I recommend tick “Use Deck Search Mechanism” also.

This probably occurs because the RS422 cable and the video cables are of significant different lengths in the facility.
