External text controls time remap
Hi,
I would like to make a weather forecast which has 20 animated icons. So I am interested in, is it possible to control the change of symbols (if they are comps or layers) using external txt file. I did a sequence composition where each symbol lasts 10s. Is it possible to enter the expression (external txt) in the time remap of composition in order to modify the symbol.

You could put the desired time remapping start time in a text file (named test.txt, for example) like this:
20
Then, for your time remapping expression, you could use something like this (CS4 or CS5):
myPath = “/C/temp/test.txt”;
time + $.evalFile (myPath);Dan
